Description:

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and The University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery, are inviting applications for a full-time plastic surgeon to address our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, preparing patients for surgery, ordering lab tests and x-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required. These duties encompass 70% of the position.

The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which encompasses 30% of the position. Job duties are required in English.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Plastic Surgery. They must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income with a minimum income guarantee of $586,500.00 per annum. Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
