MoD is actively seeking a Warehouse Manager for an e-commerce client in the GTA. This role is ideal for a results-driven, process-oriented leader with experience in perishable goods and a passion for optimizing warehouse operations.

Key Duties:

1. Oversee the handling, storage, and shipping of perishable goods to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations.
2. Implement proper inventory rotation practices and monitor expiry dates to minimize product waste.
3. Efficiently manage the day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping, to meet customer demands and timeframes.
4. Optimize warehouse layout and storage strategies for perishable and non-perishable products to ensure effective space utilization.
5. Champion obtaining necessary site licenses and other regulatory requirements.
6. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations set by WSIB, Health Canada, and CFIA for handling wellness and nutrition products.
7. Implement and maintain best practices for handling, storing, and shipping perishable goods.
8. Utilize SAP or other warehouse management systems to maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
9. Conduct regular cycle counts and perform stock reconciliation to minimize discrepancies.
10. Continuously identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, particularly those related to perishable goods handling.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
12. Leverage your expertise in international shipping, especially with UPS or major carriers, to optimize global shipping processes.
13. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
14. Lead and mentor a team of warehouse personnel to foster a positive and productive work environment.
15. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed.

Must Haves:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience in managing a warehouse with perishable goods, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of health regulations, including WSIB, Health Canada, and CFIA rules.
4. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, especially SAP and Process Weaver.
5. Experience in international shipping, particularly with UPS or other major carriers.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
9. Forklift certification and knowledge of workplace safety practices.
