Servus is growing We are currently looking for a Data Integration & Transformation Lead in our Data Technology Department. This is a remote position.

Position Overview:

The Data Integration and Transformation Lead will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of data initiatives across the organization. This role involves leading a team of data specialists and engineering analysts to support data transformation solutions, ensuring the flow and transformation of data from multiple sources to a centralized, cloud-based enterprise data environment. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with expertise in data architecture, governance, big data technologies, and analytics. They will work closely with various stakeholders, including business users, data scientists, analytics team members, data analysts, architects, and third-party vendors, to deliver efficient, scalable, and robust data solutions that align with the performance and transformational objectives of Servus Credit Union.

Key Accountabilities:

- Build, mentor, and lead a team of data specialists in designing and developing data solutions that enable the flow and transformation of data from multiple sources to a centralized, cloud-based enterprise data environment.
- Collaborate with business users, analytics team members, data analysts, and architects to understand their data integration and transformation requirements, developing solutions that meet their needs.
- Ensure that data solutions are modern, efficient, scalable, and robust, while supporting the performance and transformational objectives of Servus Credit Union.
- Develop and maintain processes and standards to ensure the quality and integrity of the data being integrated into the data environment, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to improve data integration and transformation efficiency, quality, and accuracy.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
- Ensure that data solutions are scalable and can handle large volumes of data, while maintaining high levels of performance.
- Lead the design and development of machine learning pipelines to support advanced analytics and data science models, ensuring that data solutions are optimized for these use cases and can support the requirements of data-driven initiatives.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring that they are meeting service level agreements and delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of Servus Credit Union.
- Evaluate new third-party solutions and technologies to identify opportunities to improve data integration and transformation capabilities, creating designs, and making recommendations.
- Work with third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to ensure the smooth operation of the data integration and transformation environment.
- Lead and contribute to data integration and transformation projects as required, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Ensure the adoption and effective usage of agile development methodologies and practices within the team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of data integration and transformation solutions.
- Support and contribute to organizational initiatives and projects requiring data integration and transformations or general data support.
- Support the resolution of data and analytics requests and errors, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data and analytics solutions to meet the needs of the business.
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data integration and transformation, applying them to Servus Credit Union's data management strategy and environment.
- Support the department's business planning cycles by providing insights and expertise specific to data integration and transformation planning.

Requirements

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:

- 10+ years in data technology roles, with 5+ years in management.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in engineering and maintaining data integration and transformation solutions.
- Experience with data pipeline tools (ADF, AirFlow, Astronomer, Azure Databricks pipeline).
- Experience with cloud-based data integration and transformation tools (Azure Databricks, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse).
- Understanding of data virtualization, DBT, and experience with Lakehouse Federation is an asset.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relational data structures, and various database design patterns.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability in vendor relationship management.
