Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Commercial Underwriter to join our team in Brampton. You will assess commercial insurance risks, determine coverage, and make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines. The role requires collaboration with brokers and clients to ensure appropriate coverage and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities

- Review risk information and financial statements to make underwriting decisions.

- Negotiate terms, premiums, and coverage with insurance carriers.

- Prepare quotes, endorsements, and other underwriting documentation.

- Assist in the renewal process and monitor policy changes.

- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.

Qualifications

- RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license required.

- 3+ years of experience in commercial underwriting.

- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Proficient in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
