Your Role Includes
- Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of all complexities and sizes
- Directing design strategies and concepts on complex projects
- Leading audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations, and writing corresponding reports
- Conducting site visits and troubleshooting construction issues; collaborating on solutions
- Mentoring intermediate and junior-level engineers and designers
- Supporting the continuous development of mechanical design standards and practices
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Design experience with central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems
- Significant exposure to DDC control systems, including writing sequences of operations, specifications, and troubleshooting on-site control issues
- Extensive knowledge of codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards
- Design experience across multiple industries, including commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, and government
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize, multitask, and work well under deadlines
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to share ideas with a track record of sound judgment and decision-making
- Professional engineering license in Ontario with at least 5 years of Canadian experience.
