We are currently looking for a motivated, passionate, and dynamic candidate to serve as an IT Infrastructure Architect to enable the Infrastructure to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology. This position will report to the Data Center Operations Manager and will be based in Montreal.

The IT Infrastructure Architect provides strategy and vision for North America system infrastructure including Microsoft components (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Exchange, SharePoint, System Center, hardening) and its evolution to Azure (Public, Private or Hybrid Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), O365 platform, Virtualization technologies (VMware and Citrix), storage, security and backup technologies. The IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing and managing both IT and OT architectures, understanding the unique requirements and considerations of each, and ensuring seamless integration and functionality across both domains.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide project/operations specific architectural and comprehensive technology designs, solutions, and implementation plans for the Data Center Team.
2. Review and evaluate solutions and develop optimized infrastructure designs based on rigorous understanding of returned benefits and impact on Business or IT.
3. Ensure the architecture is designed with 'Security by Design' principles, including the incorporation of security controls and measures at the design phase, to mitigate potential risks and threats.
4. Review and help in choosing the right technology for the context.
5. Evaluate entire projects from a technical stance, guaranteeing that the methods and technologies used are practical and correct and fit for purpose.
6. Validate and challenge the detailed technical infrastructure architectures provided by technology partners, team members, and vendors in support of a project or Operation technical solution.
7. Assist in the transition of the project to Operations.
8. Act as a final path of escalation within their area of expertise for any Data Center architecture.
9. Investigate the viability of upcoming and emerging technologies to improve the infrastructure's stability, longevity, and adaptability.
10. Participate in architecture reviews and/or audits.
11. Secure Infrastructure architecture compliance.
12. Support overall IT strategy with the relevant Infrastructure architecture.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
2. 10+ years of total experience in IT with relevant technologies.
3. 5+ years of experience in the analysis and understanding of the Infrastructure related to Data Center, hardware, and systems including servers, network, security, storage, and compute for traditional, hybrid, or cloud Data Centers.
4. 7+ years of experience in deploying and managing virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc.).
5. 5+ years of experience with cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS), automation, orchestration, cost frameworks, trends, and Industry-leading private/public/hybrid cloud vendor offerings and interoperability.
6. 5+ years of experience in high demand, low fault tolerance environments.
7. 5+ years of experience in a technical infrastructure design role and demonstration of subject expertise.

1. Must possess excellent written and verbal presentation skills in English (French is a big plus).
2. Demonstrate strong applied knowledge of layered architectures, virtualized environments, security, monitoring, and high availability systems.
3. Must be self-motivated.
4. Strong ability to learn business rules and comply with both existing and new requirements.
5. Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Good knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices (e.g., ITIL).

Working Conditions:

Employee may experience progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands). Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hard hat, and/or other during IT visits to the Warehouses or Plants.

Travel:

Employee will be required to travel less than 10% of the time; Employee may need to occasionally visit other locations.
