The focus is on assessment, clinical reasoning, care planning, and documentation.Clinical placements for this term for NRSG/_O 136 are Wednesdays or Fridays, at Kelowna General Hospital Rehab or Cottonwoods Short-StayThe NRSG/_O 237 practicum supports students to develop beginning knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide safe ethical nursing care for adults with episodic and chronic health challenges. Seek guidance regarding student performance concerns only from the Team Leader or the Assistant Director and collaborate with them to provide the student with constructive feedback and options for progress in the program.Be willing to give negative feedback to the student if indicated. Inappropriate judgment or unwillingness to provide constructive feedback may harm the student’s progress in the program and/or result in unsafe practice in subsequent practice placements.**Supervision Received and Given:**Initially, mentorship will be provided by an experienced faculty member. The Team Leader is available for consultation at any time.
