About the Role:
The firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Architect to join their team and lead complex projects from concept through completion. As a key member of the leadership team, you will guide project teams, mentor junior staff, and act as a liaison with clients, consultants, and contractors. Your extensive experience in design and technical detailing will ensure that every project meets the highest standards of excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design Leadership: Drive the creative vision for projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and firm values.
- Project Management: Oversee all project phases, from initial concept development to construction administration, maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring and inspiring junior staff to excel in their roles.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Excellence: Develop and review detailed construction drawings and specifications, ensuring constructability and compliance with all regulations.
- Construction Administration: Address RFIs, site instructions, and submittals while conducting site visits to monitor progress and quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of BC building codes, municipal bylaws, and permitting processes to guide projects through approval stages.

What You Bring to the Table:

- A professional degree in Architecture and registration with the AIBC (or eligibility).
- 10+ years of experience in architecture firms, with a robust portfolio of civic, multifamily, mixed-use / international projects considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential, with additional skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools considered an asset.
- Expertise in project management, contract administration, team leadership, and client engagement.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, materials, and detailing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for sustainable and community-driven design.
