With a rapidly growing team of over 140 talented individuals, located at offices in Halifax, Mississauga and various remote locations throughout Canada, we are searching for a dynamic Human Resources Specialist to join our team.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and reporting directly to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operation Officer, the Human Resources Specialist will play an integral role in IMP Solutions' daily operations and ongoing success. As an eager professional who enjoys the challenge of designing processes and programs, while performing a variety of day-to-day Human Resources tasks, this role is best suited for a mid-level generalist who is looking to capitalize on new experiences and grow their skill set. What You Will Do:
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on a variety of Human Resource issues including; performance management and progressive discipline, conflict resolution, attendance management, internal policy and procedures and applicable employment legislation.
- Develop and execute the implementation of strategic recruitment initiatives while performing all day-to-day, full-cycle recruitment and selection activities.
- Deliver a cohesive and complete onboarding program which will include an orientation presentation; perform all offboarding tasks.
- Design and coordinate annual performance review and succession planning process(es); assist with the creation of career planning paths for all positions.
- Manage all employee disability-related absences, including workers' compensation.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting on various HR statistics and metrics.
- Drive the annual engagement survey and assist with the development of all related action plans.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives and maintain employment equity data.
- Communicate and support all corporately driven HR initiatives.
- Complete all HR forms and other related documentation for hires, changes and terminations; maintain accurate and up-to-date employee filing system.

What You Need to Succeed:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management (undergraduate degree/diploma with concentration in HR).
- 3-5 years of professional work experience in a human resources environment
- Working knowledge of human resources principles and practices including Human Rights and provincial labour legislation.
- Familiar with various recruitment mediums including web-based platforms and social media.
- Ability to use good judgement and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiate, follow through with projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and MS Office Suite Programs.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
