Intermediate Solid Waste Engineer

The Opportunity
We are looking for an intermediate level Solid Waste Engineer who is passionate about creating positive change and wants to join a company that values its employees.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting Project Managers with planning and implementing detailed design and permitting projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, ensuring quality of services and client satisfaction, and project profitability.
2. Coordination and managing subcontractors.
3. Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, legal counsel, regulatory agency personnel, and other parties.
4. Job may also include out-of-town travel and fieldwork including collection of samples, site visits, drilling, and remedial contractor oversight and/or construction oversight.
About You and Your Qualifications

6. Four years plus of experience in consulting engineering.
7. Professional Engineer or candidate for designation for the Province of British Columbia.
8. Knowledge of current solid waste regulations in British Columbia.
9. Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software packages.
10. A good understanding of grading, site layout, site servicing, stormwater management.
11. A strong conceptual and detailed design background.
12. Knowledge and experience in the areas of hydrogeology, contaminant migration, environmental site assessment and risk assessments would also be assets.
13. Exceptional report writing and verbal communication skills.
14. Project coordination and management experience.

Salary Range
$65,000 to $85,000 per year.
