Job Stream: Non-Clinical Union: CUPE Anticipated Start Date: ASAP FTE: 1.00 Anticipated Shift: Days Work Arrangement: In Person Daily Hours Worked: 8.00 Annual Base Hours: 2080 Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Experience - Five years’ experience, post certification, in a variety of facets of maintenance of buildings, building services, building service equipment and departmental equipment. - Previous experience in a health care facility would be an asset. - Experience in the installation of mechanical equipment e.g. heating and ventilating equipment, fans, pumps (vacuum, compressors) and the ability to read blueprints and interpret manuals required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) - Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required. - Certificate of qualification as a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Manitoba/Interprovincial required. Certification/Licensure/Registration - Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Manitoba/Interprovincial certification required. Qualifications and Skills - Must have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the repair or reproduction and re-installation of equipment parts. - Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Physical Requirements - Job requires heavy lifting, bending, and working in elevated places on various pieces of equipment (i.e. scaffolds, ladders), as well as the ability to work in confined spaces and enclosures.
