TELUS Health is looking for a Medical Imaging Technologist to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in our Toronto Bay Street Care Centre. This is a Casual Part-Time position.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting client-centered team-based care by performing medical imaging procedures such as x-rays, bone density scans and will practice in accordance with the vision and values of TELUS Health care Centres, with client safety and client experience as a priority.
What you'll do
- Perform medical imaging procedures according to prescriptions and protocols during business operating hours
- Act as the Radiation Protection Officer
- Perform Quality Assurance on a daily basis
- Perform certain administrative tasks as needed, such as:
- Medical appointments
- Registering patients
- Procedural explanations, positions and scanning
- Disinfecting environment
- Participating in implementing directives from Accreditation Canada
- Follow up with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure excellent customer service
Qualifications
What you bring
- Graduate of an accredited medical radiology program
- Sonography certificate and experience is an asset
- Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Strong professional judgement, organized and able to manage your time effectively
- Strong problem solver, ability to critically think and analyze data
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer knowledge
- Experience in operation a GE Prodigy Bone Densitometry device a strong asset
