# **Spectrum Resource Group****The Position:** Timber Cruiser**Type:** Full-time**Reports To:** Timber Development SupervisorHIRING FOR THE 2026 SPRING SEASONSpectrum Resource Group (SRG), a business unit of Wright Canada Holdings, Spectrum Resource Group is an integrated vegetation management (IVM) solutions provider with expertise in vegetation management, forest management, and reforestation. We provide these services to federal, provincial, regional, local and Indigenous governments, to the forestry, energy, mines, petroleum, transportation and utility sectors, and to numerous regional invasive species organizations across Canada.**Why Wright Canada Holdings:*** A Company Culture of Safety, Family, Integrity, Excellence and Stewardship.* Pay rate of $275-$310 per day, paid hourly.* Overtime, statutory holiday, and vacation pay.* Work 10 days on with 4 days off.* Career advancements opportunities internally and externally.* Medical and Dental benefits.* Employee Ownership potential.* Remote tent camps providing internet/ wifi access and cooking supplies.* Paid travel time, per diem and accommodations when away from home.* All equipment and tools supplied.**Key Responsibilities:*** Traverse with a sub-meter GPS unit to establish accurate plot locations.* Use forest measurement techniques to assess stand volume and health of trees.* Use cruising practices to produce high quality data that is to be reported back to management.* Use CruiseMate to navigate geographical spaces and upload data.* Establish and maintain knowledge of the BC Timber Cruising Manual.* Motivate and inspire those on your team to perform to their fullest potential.* Ability to complete job duties in physically strenuous and varying terrains.* Navigate forest service roads and off-highway driving.* Administrative support with day-to-day production and payroll tracking.* Knowledge of compilation programs, such as CompMate, are an asset.* Comply with applicable federal, provincial and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.* Organization of equipment before, during and after shifts.* Other duties as required.**Experience and Knowledge Expectations:*** Minimum of 1 year experience in Timber Cruising.* Education in any type of Resource Management or Forestry programs would be considered an asset.* A valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, or equivalent, and a current Driver’s Abstract.* Preference may be given to candidates holding a valid BC Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification, or equivalent.* Pre-employment drug testing required for safety sensitive positions including positions with driving responsibilities.* The ability to work away from home for scheduled periods of time.* ATV and Resource Road Driving experience.* Diligent, efficient and detail orientated attitude.* The ability to both work both independently and as part of a team.* Experience remote camping considered an asset.* Chainsaw experience considered an asset.**Join Our Team:**SRG is a business unit of an employee-owned company formed in 2017, known as Wright Canada Holdings (WCH).
