You will be accountable for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Senior Third Party Bodily Injury and Casualty claims. What can you expect in this role?

- Reporting to the Team Leader, Casualty, you are accountable for managing a portfolio of Senior Bodily Injury, Casualty, and General Liability Claims.
- Engage all stakeholders in the effective management of a claim including underwriting and senior leadership.
- Confirm policy coverages, investigate claims to determine liability and quantum, and maintain detailed file records.
- Attend/participate in mediations, pre-trials and settlement initiatives.
- Settle claims directly with claimants and with Plaintiff's Counsel.
- Direct and instruct Defence Counsel.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Maintain professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy in all interactions, whether with customers, co-workers or vendors.
- Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
- Strive to continually push the boundaries of your adjusting experience and personal learnings.
- Be a team player adaptable to a changing environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.

What do you bring to the role?

- University degree, college diploma, or CIP designation.
- Comfortable and experienced working on Ontario auto BI and CGL claims.
- Minimum 3 years of claims handling experience in Bodily Injury/Casualty Litigation.
- Notable Commercial General Liability Claims handling experience, both Bodily Injury and Property damage.
- Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers.
- Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
- Team player adaptable to a changing environment.
- A passion for coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Dependable with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Focused on building engagement and culture.
- Proficient in MS Office and strong computer skills.
- Bilingualism in both English and French is an asset.
- Licensed in multiple provinces is an asset.
- Atlantic licensing is an asset.

Salary range is $58,100 - $106,900.
