We are looking for a dedicated Claims Account Manager to join our team
Our Career Opportunity – Claims Account Manager
As a Claims Account Manager, you will oversee the entire claims lifecycle for our clients, ensuring prompt and professional handling of all scenarios and client inquiries. This includes taking over the client contact once the First Notice of Loss is presented and following up and advocating throughout the claims process. Additionally, using our Broker Management System, you maintain meticulous and timely records of all claims-related activities. The Claims Account Manager will cultivate strong relationships with clients, Insurer Claims Departments, and third-party adjustors.
Salary range: $85,000-$100,000 commensurate with experience.
Specific Accountabilities:
1. On average, you would manage 25 claims per month.
2. Counsel clients on claims scenarios, guiding them through processes and procedures and offering support and advice.
3. Serve as a dedicated advocate for clients, representing their interests diligently.
4. Proactively monitor open and closing claims notices.
5. Cultivate and nurture strong working relationships with claims departments to enhance productivity.
6. Conduct thorough follow-ups with clients to surpass expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
7. Monitor claim progression to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, advocating for fair settlements.
8. Facilitate claims escalation when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
9. Maintain meticulous records of all claims on our broker management system, adding notes about each call and attaching all related correspondence.
10. Attend client meetings and conference calls, including meetings with Insurers/Adjustors and site visits.
11. Actively engage in continued learning programs and training to enhance your claims expertise and product knowledge.
12. Complete Large Loss reports after claims closing.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
1. Business degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education, technical designations, and work experience within a similar role or industry.
2. Proven experience (5+ Years) within the insurance industry.
3. Knowledge of Applied Epic Broker Management System (BMS) and auxiliary products would be preferred.
4. Comprehensive understanding of workflows within the insurance industry.
Licenses:
1. A Level 1 Newfoundland Property & Casualty license is required to start the role with the expectation to continue to a Level 3 Newfoundland Property & Casualty license. In addition, licensing in other provinces may be required.
2. Actively working towards or completing the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation.

2. Identify and address issues or challenges during the claims process, seeking innovative solutions to achieve optimal outcomes.
3. Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential for maintaining positive client relationships and managing a successful team.
4. Collaboration with other executives, department heads, and teams to execute the company's strategies.
