Reporting to the Real Estate Manager, this position is accountable for project coordination and cost-effective execution of Eastlink real estate project initiatives including Retail, Occupied Premises and Land. This role may also provide coordination support for other major maintenance events at facilities through planning techniques to effectively control maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
- Develops and maintains project work breakdown structures, action plans and schedules.
- Consult with internal clients and other stakeholders to define requirements, scope and objectives.
- Assign tasks and assist with schedule management.
- Ensure clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Assist in budget preparation.
- Oversee and track procurement and other critical path issues.
- Monitor project progress and handle issues that arise.
- Function as the point of contact and communicate project status.
- Work with the Real Estate Manager to eliminate roadblocks.
- Create and maintain project documentation, plans and reports.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conduction quality assurance and surveillance.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience working with office systems furniture and space planning would be an asset.
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
- Experience using computer assisted design software “CAD”
- Solid organizational skills, including time management.
- Strong stakeholder facing and teamwork skills.
- Firsthand experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
- PMP certification is a plus.
