At Live Nation Entertainment, our people embrace these qualities, so if this sounds like you then please read on THE ROLE Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for the reconciliation and remittance of tax and royalty/license accounts, as well as the reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and company credit cards, across several business entities. Working in a high-volume environment, duties consist of reviewing, investigating, and reconciling account activity, preparing journal entries, filing statutory tax slips, preparing bank reporting packages as part of SOX compliance controls, and creating AR invoices. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Prepare monthly/quarterly tax (GST, Provincial taxes, Non-Resident Withholding) reconciliations and remittances for several business entities
- Prepare monthly royalty/license reconciliations and remittances
- Prepare and file year-end T4A-NR slips
- Investigate and resolve tax-related reconciling items and discrepancies
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple CAD and USD accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reporting packages as part of SOX compliance controls
- Investigate and resolve bank-related reconciling items and account discrepancies
- Reconciliation of multiple company credit cards
- Prepare journal entries related to tax, royalty, and bank activity
- Create AR invoices to record intercompany transactions, refunds, etc.
- Assist with audit requests
- Support month-end and quarter-end close procedures, including variance analysis
- Support quarterly reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within reconciliation processes
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and business units to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain supporting documentation and working papers for audit and SOX compliance purposes
- Reconciliation projects as assigned

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Working towards or completion of a CPA designation an asset
- Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented
- Strong organizational & time management abilities
- Able to clearly and concisely present, both visually and verbally, complicated reconciliation data
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Canadian indirect tax (GST/PST) and non-resident withholding tax rules
- 2+ years tax preparation, tax reconciliation, bank reconciliation, or general ledger reconciliation experience
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred
- Experience with reconciliation software an asset
