Job Summary:

As the Structure Cabling Estimator/Team Lead, your role will be critical in ensuring the success of projects. Your technical expertise, leadership, and customer-focused approach will contribute to the company's growth and reputation as a leading provider of Smart Technology solutions. You will play a crucial part in our sales and delivery process by providing accurate and comprehensive estimations and creating compelling proposals that align with our customers' needs. Your ability to analyze project requirements, understand customer objectives, and communicate effectively will be important in securing new business opportunities and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in sales and client meetings to understand project requirements and gather necessary details.
- Collaborate with the sales team to address customer inquiries and provide expert advice on project estimates.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for potential projects.
- Submit quotes to Account Managers (AMs) and customers in a timely manner.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to define the scope of work and project requirements.
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and project deliverables.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain Bills of Materials (BOM) and competitive pricing.
- Secure necessary components and materials for the project.
- Prepare comprehensive project documents and design packages for presentation to clients.
- Ensure all necessary details are included in the project proposals.
- Keep the PROMYS system up to date with accurate information on opportunities and quote submissions.
- Track the progress of opportunities and quotes in PROMYS.
- Provide project turnover to the project managers team upon project award.
- Ensure a smooth transition of projects from estimation to execution.
- Ensure the Field Service Technicians have the tools, materials, direction, and documentation to successfully complete their day.
- Provide project support and direction for the Edmonton Field Service Technicians
- Attend project kickoff meetings.
- Submit all project deliveries and attend final project walkthrough with clients.
- Manage and stag project materials.
- Keep track of company test equipment and tools.
- Maintain material inventory and consumables.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Senior Structured Cabling Estimator or similar role, with a focus on sales and client interactions.
- Strong background in structured cabling estimation, cost analysis, and scope definition.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in using estimating tools and platforms, with experience in PROMYS being an advantage.
- Knowledge of project management processes and tools.
- Familiarity with supplier and manufacturer relationships to secure competitive pricing.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and CRM tools.
- Technical expertise in the relevant industry or field (e.g., construction, engineering, technology, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of all major cabling manufacturers product lines.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
