Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Timmins, Ontario as Night Shift Supervisor.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for:

- Carrying out assigned routine and non-routine highway maintenance operations during scheduled night shifts;

- Performing hands-on highway maintenance activities including plowing, sanding/salting, traffic control, emergency response, and related operational duties;

- Providing on-shift supervision by coordinating work activities, assigning tasks, and supporting crew members;

- Acting as the senior on-shift contact and responding to operational issues, incidents, and emergency situations;

- Completing required operational paperwork, reports, logs, and documentation within required timelines;

- Communicating operational, staffing, and equipment issues to management;

- Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must have:

- DZ license required;

- Experience in Provincial and/or Municipal highway maintenance operations;

- Strong hands-on experience operating highway maintenance equipment, particularly in winter conditions;

- Demonstrated ability to supervise, guide, and support employees while actively performing maintenance work;

- Ability to complete required documentation and basic administrative duties accurately and on time;

- Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, the Highway Traffic Act, and other applicable regulatory requirements;

- Helpful, friendly, and courteous with the public, regulatory agencies, and peers;

- Punctual, reliable, and willing to work scheduled night shifts;

This is a non-union, hourly position.
