Summary of Duties:

- Assist Manager of Plans Examination to keep permit statistics up‑to‑date.

- Assist in the review of plans for building permits with Plans Examiners.

- Shadow building inspectors at various stages of construction.

- May be involved in preparation of AutoCad details.

- Maintain technical documentation library files.

- Assist in responding to inquiries from customers.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a College/University Architectural Technology, or related program.

- Must be a current student enrolled in full‑time studies returning to school full‑time September 2026 and/or require this placement to graduate from an academic program.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

- Some experience with residential construction.

- Understanding of the Ontario Building Code is preferred.

- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel and Word) and AutoCad experience.

- Enrolled in Architectural Technology Program.

Compensation & Other Information:

- $23.11/hour.

- This posting is for one (1) temporary full‑time up to 4 month student position (May‑September 2026).

- Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

- Work Arrangement: In office/on‑site.
