Empowering People. Inspiring Communities.

Workplace Innovation Specialist (NOHFC Funded – 1 year contract)

Why you’ll want this role:

Come help us streamline the behind‑the‑scenes stuff – moving us from paper processes that are past their prime to a renewed and efficient digital flow. You’ll lead real modernization projects that improve recruitment, engagement, and workplace systems — with mentorship from senior leaders.

- Exceptional PTO: generous paid time off to rest and recharge

- Enhanced Sick & Wellness Benefits: added coverage to support your health and well‑being

- Flexible Schedule: we’ll work with you to build a schedule that fits life while meeting team needs

- Positive, Supportive Culture: a workplace where people have your back and your work matters

- Mentorship: direct guidance from senior leadership to help you grow

- Real Ownership: you’ll lead meaningful projects – not shadow work

Where you’ll work:
William W. Creighton Youth Services is a nonprofit organization that provides inclusive, culturally relevant pathways to strengthen relationships between youth and their communities. Our vision is Empowering People. Inspiring Communities, and we’re committed to building a workplace where staff feel supported to do their best work.

What you’ll do:

- HRIS Migration: Move records, administrative processes, and performance tracking into cloud systems.

- Policy & Standards Modernization: Update workplace guidelines and HR policies to meet best practices.

- Change Management: Roll out new tools with clear communication and staff support.

- Employee Engagement & Wellness: Build digital approaches to reduce fatigue and support mental health.

- Talent Acquisition Optimization: Improve recruitment/onboarding and provide HR analytics for leadership.

What we’re looking for:

- Post‑secondary education in Information Systems, Business Technology, HRIS/People Analytics.

- Strong, hands‑on systems skills (cloud tools, advanced spreadsheets/data, quick with new software).

- Experience digitizing/streamlining processes and supporting others to use new tools.

- Clear communicator, detail‑driven, and trusted with confidential info.

- Meets the NOHFC Workforce Development Program requirements.

Additional assets

- Experience with or in workflow automation, change management projects.

- Experience in non‑profit organizations and/or youth justice services.
