Senior Data Analytics Business Analyst to lead data strategy and enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency
Our public client is looking for a Senior Data Analytics Business Analyst to lead data strategy and enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
This role will act as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of scalable data solutions. It requires expertise in data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics, with a focus on optimizing data flows and integrating complex systems to improve operational efficiency.
Note: This is a 12-month contract, 3 days in the Vancouver office/week
Must Have:
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
- Expertise in data modeling, data governance, and data pipeline documentation.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
- Experience with enterprise data platforms and cloud-based data solutions, preferably Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies, including JIRA, Confluence, and backlog management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts for both business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience with API integrations, system interoperability, and data security best practices.
- Ability to lead stakeholder engagement sessions, drive consensus, and align requirements with business strategy.
- Strong knowledge of data-driven decision-making principles, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Strong project management skills, using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as CBAP, CSM, CSPO, or DAMA-CDMP
