Job Overview: BOMCAS Canada is seeking a knowledgeable First Nations Financial Governance Consultant to join our team. As a First Nations Financial Governance Consultant, you will be a key player in providing expert financial advisory services to First Nations communities and organizations. Your understanding of Indigenous financial governance, cultural values, and financial best practices will guide First Nations communities toward effective financial management and governance.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with First Nations communities to understand their financial governance needs and objectives.
- Assess current financial governance structures and practices within First Nations organizations.
- Offer guidance on developing financial policies, procedures, and accountability frameworks.
- Provide expert advice on fund management, budgeting, grant compliance, and financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to assess the financial health of First Nations organizations.
- Develop and deliver financial literacy programs tailored to First Nations communities.
- Build capacity within First Nations organizations to improve financial management skills.
- Foster strong relationships with community leaders, Elders, and stakeholders.
- Deliver workshops, training sessions, and presentations on financial governance best practices.

Qualifications:

- CPA designation or relevant financial certifications.
- Demonstrated understanding of First Nations financial governance, cultural values, and challenges.
- Proven experience providing financial advisory services to First Nations communities.

- Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and offer actionable insights.
