A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support healthcare providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care and include laboratories, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information include Virtual Care, MySaskHealthRecord, and the provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for administering various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death), legal name changes, and adoptions, as well as maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Director – Project Management Office, the Senior Project Manager is accountable to provide leadership, direction, and project management expertise to enable the effective implementation of multiple projects across eHealth's organizations. This role will provide high-level support for large-scale projects and support from initiation through to final implementation. This includes leading multifunctional and cross-divisional project teams on people, process, and technology projects of medium to high risk and complexity.

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Accountable for all aspects of the project (or phase) over the entire project life.
2. Accountable for procurement, managing vendor relations, partner relations, and managing end-user expectations.
3. Responsible for communicating status to project sponsors.
4. Responsible for financial reporting.
5. Organizing and directing work including prioritizing assignments, providing regular performance feedback, and taking necessary corrective action as may be required.
6. Managing business analyst direct reports, providing direction, coaching, and career development.
7. Accountable for promoting a productive and positive environment for project staff that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative, and models corporate values.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. 5 years' experience in project management leadership or equivalent with demonstrated success in delivering large and complex projects in an IT setting with constraints of budget, timelines, and resources.
2. 3 years' experience with project procurement and vendor management.
3. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
4. Post-secondary education at the University or Technical Institute level in one of the following: Information Technology / Business Administration / Health Sciences.

6. A team player with strong initiative who can establish personal goals and take responsibility for meeting them within defined timelines.
7. A change agent who is not threatened or intimidated by change and uncertainty.
8. Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities.
9. An excellent leader who empowers project teams to excel.
10. Ability to communicate complex issues to project teams in an effective manner.
11. A conceptual thinker with excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, and consulting skills.
12. Customer service focused within a shared service environment.
13. Ability to navigate and build strong relationships in a large, complex multi-enterprise environment that includes customers with difficult and/or competing needs.
