Searching for a Health & Safety Manager to join a mid size but growing General Contractor North of Toronto. They are a COR2020 certified general contracting company with a team that has over 100 years of combined construction experience. Their primary focus is building fueling station and supporting retail developments.
Job Responsibilities
• Maintenance of the COR2020 program (documentation, training, safety equipment,
legislative changes, internal and external audits)
• Travel to construction projects to inspect and communicate with field workers and
observation of the work in progress
• Supportive role to management with safety documentation and subcontractor safety
requirements
• Maintain compliance with customer safety portals (ie) ISN
Job Requirements
• Ability to gather and analyze information, data and statistics
• Proficient with technology
• Ability to perform health and safety observations in the field
• Knowledge of audit principles and specific audit process using the COR audit phases
• Knowledge of the COR2020 program guidelines, COR2020 Audit Handbook and
COR2020 Audit Tool
• Access to own vehicle
Must have Credentials
• Successful completion of COR2020 Training Program including COR Essentials,
Introduction to Hazard & Risk Management, COR Basic Auditing Principles and COR
Internal Auditor
• Experience with construction operations
• Joint Health and Safety Committee Part 1 & 2
• G-class drivers license (required)
Compensation
Base salary $90,000 - $110,000
