We are seeking a creative and driven Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing Service team. This is a full time, remote position with full benefits.

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will communicate effectively and regularly with producers, clients, and underwriters to process, amend and maintain Commercial Insurance policies. The Commercial Insurance CSR works with internal teams, insurance markets, and vendors to manage the policy lifecycle of new and existing clients; entering data and helping 'raise the bar' on service.

Technical Skills

1. Ability to build strong relationships with clients, underwriters and internal teammates.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Insurance products, applications, coverages, and limits; relative to insurance carrier appetite.
3. Ability to identify gaps in coverages.
4. Proficiency with customer relationship management systems (CRM).
5. Experience with broker management systems (BMS).
6. Proficiency with insurance vendor and carrier portals is also an asset.
7. Financial and accounting literacy.
8. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel.

Key Result Areas / Essential Functions Responsibilities

1. Managing policy life cycles for new and existing clients, including new business submissions, renewals, re-marketing and endorsements.
2. Processing insurance-related reports and contracts such as property valuations and premium financing agreements.
3. Being the first point of contact for customers in servicing their insurance needs.
4. Assisting producers in the completion of comprehensive submissions for quoting.
5. Reviewing quotations, subjectivities, and policies for accuracy.
6. Administering internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and underwriting guidelines.
7. Timely processing of endorsements and certificate of insurance (COI) requests.
8. Working effectively with team members and colleagues to accomplish team and organizational goals.
9. Taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others.

Qualifications / Experience

1. RIBO licensed, in good standing with required continuing education (CE) hours.
2. Minimum 1 year of Commercial Insurance experience.
3. CIP, CAIB and CRM designations and/or relative courses are considered an asset.
4. Personal lines experience is considered an asset.
5. Post-secondary education is considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
