Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd., the leading feed supplier in Ontario is looking for a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Poultry Nutritionist. In this position you will be responsible for developing and maintaining feeding programs, supplement and premix formulations, providing nutritional solutions for customers and sales representatives, setting up formulas to be used in the mill for manufacturing of product and preparing formulas for pricing and maintenance of pricelists.
You will also provide technical support to Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. sales representatives, visit current customers and prospects to communicate nutrition programs, new initiatives, problem solving, etc. and plan, implement and evaluate poultry research trials (on farm, supplier and/or university collaboration).
Ongoing research and development of innovative feeds and feeding programs will be required and the establishment of a professional network of industry and academic contacts is encouraged.
With a commitment to learning and innovation, the successful candidate will assist us in developing leading edge feed programs that will contribute to our customers’ success. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum MSc or PhD or Animal Nutrition or a related discipline with strong communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills. Feed industry experience would be an asset.
