Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time, Senior Business Analyst to lead discovery for key client modernization projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility across diverse industries, excel in client-facing roles, and thrive in a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead discovery phases for client modernization initiatives: Take ownership of the initial project phases by engaging with clients to understand their current business processes, pain points, and modernization goals. Conduct in-depth requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution definition to ensure a clear and actionable project scope.

Use proven facilitation techniques to drive consensus and ensure all voices are heard.
- Present findings and recommendations to client executives and project sponsors: Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations and reports that translate complex analysis into actionable insights for senior leadership. Articulate the business value and strategic impact of proposed solutions.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to less experienced team members. Share knowledge, develop reusable templates and playbooks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the business analysis practice.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams: Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively identify and resolve gaps or misunderstandings between stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Leverage AI tools and Microsoft technologies: Utilize the latest AI-powered analysis tools and Microsoft platforms (such as Azure, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365) to enhance requirements gathering, data analysis, and solution delivery.
- Support the adoption of agile methodologies: Champion the use of Scrum and hybrid agile approaches, facilitating ceremonies, managing backlogs, and ensuring agile best practices are followed to deliver value iteratively.

Qualifications

- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a business analyst, preferably in consulting with large Fortune 500 companies.
- Experience working with clients in multiple industry verticals and/or the government sector.
- Strong background in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid), with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office, and DevOps environments.
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft development, AI, and enterprise systems is a bonus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including active listening, negotiation, and clear written and verbal communication.
- Adaptability and versatility in dynamic client environments, with a proven track record of quickly learning new industries and business models.
- Stakeholder management and leadership, with the confidence to influence decision-makers and drive consensus.
- Willingness to mentor others and foster team growth through knowledge sharing and support.
- Excitement to leverage AI tools in business analysis work, staying ahead of industry trends and innovations.
