Senior Finance & Accounting Consultant The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Consultant for a minimum 6-month engagement, with a strong possibility of extending beyond the initial term based on ongoing business needs. This role offers the chance to step into a high-impact position and provide senior-level, hands‑on support during an important period of growth and increased activity for the finance team. In this role, you will bolster the finance function, increase operational capacity, and help ensure continuity and stability as the organization moves through a busy reporting and planning cycle. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll have meaningful visibility and the ability to influence key financial processes, contribute insights, and support critical decision‑making. This role is ideal for a senior finance professional who brings strong analytical insight, operational acumen, and the ability to quickly contribute in a dynamic and evolving environment. While the client’s preference is for this role to be primarily in‑office, they are open to a hybrid or flexible arrangement for the right candidate. Additional details about the organization and compensation will be shared as we begin initial conversations. We are ideally looking for someone who can step into the role as soon as possible. What You’ll Do - Lead daily finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy, continuity, and timeliness. - Oversee FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. - Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with insights for leadership. - Manage the year‑end reporting process and liaise with external auditors. - Ensure smooth and accurate AP/AR processes. - Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls. - Provide analysis, modelling, and recommendations to support business decisions. - Bring structure, clarity, and senior oversight during a demanding operational period. - Quickly assess current processes and take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations, making an immediate impact in a fast‑paced environment. What You Bring - CPA designation or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. - Minimum 7 years’ experience in senior finance or accounting leadership. - Proven ability to step into complex environments and create immediate impact. - Strong technical knowledge of financial systems, reporting, and operational finance. - Comfortable working autonomously and proactively. - Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic and tactical work. - Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, steady presence.
