- Locum Opportunity Winkler, Manitoba | Beginning January 2027 Join an Exceptional Team in Southern Manitoba We're looking for an enthusiastic Obstetrician-Gynecologist to provide locum coverage for afull OBGYN practice beginning January 2027 . Located in Winkler, just 75 minutes south of Winnipeg, C.
W. Wiebe Medical Centre offers an outstanding clinic-based practice environment with adedicated OBGYN nurse, extensive administrative support, an on-site laboratory, aminor procedure room, apersonal office, billing services, and access to avariety of allied health professionals. What truly sets us apart is our people. You'll be joining astellar team of three OBGYNs and three family physicians with enhanced obstetrical skills who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care. Clinic-based responsibilities include outpatient consultations, ongoing gynecological care, prenatal and postpartum visits, and minor procedures. Hospital-based responsibilities are provided through Boundary Trails Health Centre and include labour and delivery, inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care, emergency consultations, and surgical services. The team shares acompetitive call rotation through the community hospital. Locum coverage includes guaranteed operating room time, typically 1
- 3 days per 28 -day period. Remuneration is fee-for-service. Clinical Excellence and Teaching Boundary Trails Health Centre, conveniently located between Winkler and Morden, supports approximately 1 , 000 deliveries annually for pregnancies at 36 weeks and beyond, consistent with aLevel Iobstetrical service. Our practice features astrong, evidence-based MoreOB program and opportunities to teach first-year family medicine residents during core obstetrics rotations, as well as senior OBGYN residents completing community rotations through their Winnipeg-based training program.
