Business Analyst, SharePoint Product Specialist

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Hybrid.
Assignment Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extending.
Compensation & Benefits: Compensation is between $47.00 - $52.00 hourly. Benefits include co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and 401k, as well as the option for Paid Time Off (dependent on amount requested).
Position Description:
No computer programming/coding will be performed in this position.
All applicants must be currently local to the Triangle region of North Carolina, and posting may require up to 1-2 days per month in a Triangle area office for meetings.
Client is seeking a SharePoint Product Specialist contractor for the Engineering Content Management group who will be responsible for drafting business requirements, designing SharePoint and web-based business solutions and related materials.
This person will be responsible for business analysis and solution design in support of Client Operations and Maintenance business processes that are valuable to the transportation lifecycle. This individual will define and prioritize SharePoint and web-based projects delivering content management and business process support on behalf of these business units, breaking down the design into work items, tracking status, managing communication and dependencies. This individual will also perform quality assurance testing, coordinate test validation and rollout for these projects, ensuring customers are informed & trained, sufficient help & training materials are created and delivered, and that operational support is arranged. This individual should have experience with standard business analysis processes, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation. The individual must be knowledgeable and experienced with project management, product ownership and the system development lifecycle. This individual must have proven SharePoint experience with designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries & content types.
Skill Required/Desired Amount of Experience:
1. 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst is required.
2. 5 years of proven experience as a SharePoint Business Analyst is highly desired.
3. 5 years of SharePoint design experience with Microsoft SharePoint lists, libraries and content types is required.
4. 5 years of designing and testing SharePoint and web-based content management solutions is required.
5. 5 years of strong analytical and conceptual skills is required.
6. 5 years of strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users is required.
7. 5 years of excellent organizational and presentation skills is required.
8. 5 years of Microsoft Suite experience (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is required.
9. 5 years of proven experience evaluating business processes and re-engineering is required.
10. 5 years of proven experience writing clear and concise technical training materials and user documentation is required.
11. 5 years of proven knowledge of application development lifecycle is required.
12. 2 years understanding of Client transportation lifecycle business processes is highly desired.
13. 5 years of extensive experience with Microsoft SharePoint as a designer is required.
14. 2 years of experience with SCRUM/Agile development methodology is desired.
15. 2 years of experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps is desired.
Responsibilities:
1. Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Operations and Maintenance business processes that are valuable to the transportation lifecycle.
2. Break down design into clearly defined, manageable work items for the development team.
3. Prioritize and track progress on work items and deliverables.
4. Ensure work items and deliverables are scheduled, completed, and delivered to the clients on time and with high quality & excellent, usable documentation.
5. Document the program and project deliverables as assigned.
6. Coordinate with clients to implement re-engineered business processes.
7. Test SharePoint and web-based content management deliverables as required to support the re-engineered business processes.
8. Draft and deliver training materials for changed business processes and IT applications.
9. Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications and processes to meet needs.
10. Provide quality control for program and project deliverables.
11. Provide guidance to team members.
