Number of Vacancies: 6
Term of employment: Full-time, Permanent with 40-50 hours per week.
Location of work: Travel across Canada and the USA with the base at 12403 Old Yale Road, Surrey BC V3V 3X9
Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
Salary: $37 per hour, overtime after 60 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times.
Benefits: WCB coverage with 4% vacation pay

Job requirement:

- Education: High School certificate
- Credentials: Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement.
- Experience: No experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Additional Skills:

- Basic English is required to understand road signs and fill the log book.
- Be able to work individually or in a team.
- Clean driving abstract.

Type of Travel: Long Haul, Regional, Provincial/Territorial, National and International.

Job Duties:

- Drive and operate the company's long-haul trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Receive and relay information to the central dispatcher.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections for mechanical or body defects.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly under safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
- Maintain log book, record cargo information, distance traveled, fuel consumption, and other information in the log book;
- Communicate with the dispatcher, other drivers, and customers using communication devices and onboard computers.
- Report incidents to the manager immediately and accurately.
