Reporting to the Associate Director, Technical Operations, the Product Specialist, Technical Writing will perform a variety of tasks related to the responsibility of writing, revising and updating technical documents relating to product transfers or new product development. You will be called upon to analyze discrepancies in manufacturing processes between two manufacturing sites as part of a product transfer. You will have a direct impact on the accuracy of technical documents and the optimization of manufacturing processes during product transfers between sites.
What you will do on a daily basis:
- Write and revise documentation required for product transfer as well as any required protocols, reports and/or technical notes (English required with customers outside Canada);
- Analyze discrepancies between two manufacturing sites as part of a product transfer (communications in English following technology transfer outside Canada);
- Analyze test results and provide suggestions/conclusions (English required for suggestions outside Canada);
- Draft and evaluate the impact of change requests, deviations and quality events (English required for drafting change requests in Canada and India);
- Provide support for the evaluation of raw materials and packaging processes;
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Production departments to ensure project follow-up (English required for communications in English with customers inside and outside Canada).
Skills and qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in science or relevant experience;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, natural health products or cosmetics industry;
- Minimum 3 years experience in technical writing;
- Experience in process validation is an asset.
