The Ontario Urban Lands and Greenbelt division and the Branch Services and Conservation division of the Capital Stewardship branch has divided its student opportunities into 4 categories:

1. Special Events

3. Monitoring and Rehabilitation
4. Branch Services and Conservation

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR ALL POSITIONS

- Full-time High School, CEGEP, college or university student;
- Enrolled in full-time studies in the next academic year;
- Possess or eligible to obtain reliability security clearance.

OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (Applicable to some positions)

- Bilingual in both official languages;
- Possess a valid driver's licence (Ontario; Class G, Quebec: Class 5, or Provincial equivalent) and provide a good driver's abstract;
- Willing to do field work and be able to perform sporadic light physical work;
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions;
- Available to work flexible hours including weekdays, weeknights, weekends and statutory holidays if necessary;
- For Bikedays positions – Available to work every weekend from May until the end of October 2025;
- Willing to work a shift schedule;
- Wear a uniform and/or protective gear provided by the employer;
- Adhere to safety codes that are in effect on construction sites, including wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment such as CSA approved footwear (not provided by the employer).

- For Lifecycle Inspector – Completed a minimum of one (1) year in a Civil Engineering program;
- For Parking Enforcement Officer – Completed a minimum of one (1) year in a program such as Law Enforcement, Wildlife protection, Conservation and Environmental Law Enforcement or a related field.

RATES OF PAY

Student rates of pay are determined by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.
