Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy Services this position is responsible for providing Pharmaceutical Care to clients in a multi-program, team-based customer service environment. This position is also responsible for the recommendation and modification of pharmaceutical care plans; the provision of medication information and counseling services; and the preparation, distribution and control of medications. Work is performed in accordance with professional practices and standards. Responsible for other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. BSc Degree in Pharmacy required.
2. Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy required.
3. APA (Additional Prescribing Authorization) permit is preferred.

Experience:

1. Experience in long term care pharmacy is preferred;
2. Requires good clinical skills, customer service and team interaction skills.
3. Experience in a community pharmacy may be considered.
