Alternative & Portfolio Valuation Oversight Manager

* 5 Years in financial industry with emphasis on alternative asset operations and private asset fair valuation experience* Experience preparing or reviewing private and or illiquid asset valuation packages.* Experience preparing or reviewing liquid securities daily pricing.* Extensive knowledge of fund accounting, pricing, custody and the operational aspects of investment funds including alternative investment funds operations, valuation and pricing.* Strong knowledge of the Canadian and global investment industry, including NI 81-102 and NI 81-106.* Experience in dealing with valuation firms for private placement valuation* Provide ongoing oversight of existing alternative products to ensure efficient and effective operations along with a management of risk* Laisse with key stakeholders (Sub-Advisors, PSG teams, Custodians, Administrators, etc.) to ensure key operational details are understood in advance of launch.* Design and build effective controls for alternative products which may be new to the FIC business* Ability to communicate complex processes to internal and external business as they relate to alternative products to ensure key risks are understood* You are a highly driven professional with a keen eye for detail* You are proactive and continuously assess your surroundings to identify issues and areas where modifications to existing processes might be recommended or required* You are an exceptional communicator who excels at communicating difficult information in the simplest of terms possible* You excel at presenting information to Senior Leaders and Boards/ Committees both orally and through written presentations* You are a team player who is able to find common ground and find solutions that are in the best interest of Fidelity and our investors* You are motivated by collaboration, process efficiency and commitment to excellence* Experience constructing control and effective oversight processes for new alternative products* Flexible working arrangements - 100% remote, hybrid, and in office options* Competitive total compensation, including company contributions to your group RRSP without a matching requirement from you* Comprehensive health benefits that start on your first day, with 100% employer-paid premiums, that include up to $5000 annually for mental health services and therapy* Parental leave top-up to 100% of your salary for a period of 25 weeks* Up to $650 for home office equipment* Generous time off policy, including 2 paid days annually to volunteer at a charity of your choice* Diversity and inclusion programs, including an active network of Employee Resource Groups* Extensive professional development opportunities, including access to over 11,000 training and development courses, tuition reimbursement, and monetary rewards for completing a required designation* We care a lot about fostering a compassionate, people-centric culture, and are proud to have been named one of Canada’s Top 100 employers for the last five years.**Base Salary**: A competitive annual range of **$110,000 to $130,000** based on your experience and qualifications.Fidelity Canada has become an employer of choice for talented people seeking rewarding career opportunities in the financial services industry.
