Work Arrangement: In person, with some flexibility to work from home occasionally

Pay Range: $44,700 - $55,100 per annum dependent on year of study and related experience

Duration: Four (4) months, May – August 2025 with possibility of a longer placement

Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We experiment, we test, and we produce our new products all under the hustling and bustling production environment. This is where products physically come to life.

As a Co-Op Student with our Manufacturing department, you will be exposed to the garment manufacturing industry, and have the opportunity to learn from the great minds who help us to plan, design and improve manufacturing processes, materials, and workspace layout to ensure timely, efficient, accurate, and cost-effective production with superb quality.

Meet Your Future Team:

You will partner closely with our Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to establish and measure KPIs, collaborate on Lean initiatives, and develop continuous improvement projects.

If you were a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op Student now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

- You'll assist the Senior Automation Engineer in developing and piloting new equipment.
- You'll work with machine suppliers and integrators on trialing new methods and automations to improve quality and productivity of current manufacturing processes.
- You'll closely work with the engineering and maintenance teams to transfer knowledge of new automations, ensuring a smooth transition of new machinery.
- Problem solving and developing corrective action plans for non-conformances.
- Collecting and analyzing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing processes.
- Special projects related to productivity improvements.
- Assist the manufacturing engineer in designing and developing various sewing automation, including advanced tooling, sewing programs, pattern sewing templates, and control systems.

- How to work collaboratively with various stakeholders in the garment manufacturing industry

Are you our next Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op Student?

- Enrolled in one of the following programs: Industrial, Mechanical, Process, or Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or Operations/Manufacturing Management
- Intermediate computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of 5S and LEAN manufacturing methodologies
- An interest in the garment manufacturing industry would be an asset
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
- Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
