We are seeking an experienced Clinical Therapist/Counsellor to join Lighthouse Wellness Centre as an independent practitioner. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality clinical assessment, intervention, and treatment within their areas of specialization, with a strong focus on evidence‑informed practice and ethical standards of care. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive training, specialization, or prior experience working with youth and/or families.

Key Responsibilities

The independent practitioner will be responsible for:

- Completing intake processes and comprehensive clinical assessments

- Providing individual (and, where appropriate, family) counselling within their areas of
specialization

- Maintaining brief, accurate, and timely client documentation in accordance with
professional and regulatory standards

- Preparing letters, reports, referrals, and other clinical documentation as required

- Participating in ongoing professional development/training activities

- Attending team meetings and contributing to a collaborative, supportive practice
environment

Required Qualifications

- Current registration and good standing with a relevant professional regulatory body (e.g., RPN, RSW, CCC, R. Psych, or equivalent)

- Proof of professional liability insurance

- Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience in mental health

- Demonstrated advanced skills in clinical assessment, intervention, and treatment
planning

- Strong working knowledge of key therapeutic modalities and the ability to tailor
interventions to client needs

- Understanding of the expectations, responsibilities, and professional boundaries
associated with working as an independent practitioner

Assets/Preferred Experience

- Training, specialization, or prior experience working with children and youth

- Experience providing services in a private practice or fee‑for‑service environment

- Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team

- Primary work location: in‑person at Lighthouse Wellness Centre, 29 10th Street,
Brandon, MB

- Flexible schedule, with the opportunity to build a full-time caseload that aligns with
your availability

- Occasional remote/telehealth sessions may be available when appropriate

- Relaxed, supportive atmosphere with a focus on professional growth and collegial
support

Compensation

- Fee‑for‑service model with clinical fees starting at $136.00 per direct client hour
