Reporting to the Operation Manager, the Superintendent will mainly be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and coordinating work performed on construction sites and fields, including: - Manage field crews and coordinate work force. - Review and ensure project labor requirements are met. - Plan and oversee field operational activities. - Create project schedules and manage field resources. - Complete site inspections and monitor progress. - Supervise operations, ensure targets and quality protocols are achieved. - Complete reports and required documents. - Hold and attend meetings, both project specific and general. - Promote safety and ensure program compliance. - Coordinate project materials and tool/equipment management. - Set team goals and promote operational success. - Coordinate service calls and adapt to changes. - Lead by example and foster company culture. - Provide effective communication, both internal and external. Qualifications - Experience with service, installation and testing of all water-based suppression systems, foam systems, special hazard systems and fire pumps. - Sprinkler Fitters’ Journeypersons certificate with Red Seal (an asset). - Knowledge of required codes and standards. - Ability to read and interpret project drawings. - Proficient level of computer literacy. - Team first mentality. - High level of communication is required. - Safety first attitude. - Valid driver’s license is mandatory. - Viking values, respects, and supports the interests of its employees from all walks of life.
