Overview

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Structural Civil Engineer to join a team dedicated to studies primarily focused on hydroelectric projects. In this role, you will work within the Hydro-Energy Operations engineering team on the analysis, design, and rehabilitation of structures for various dam, hydraulic works, building, and bridge projects in the hydroelectric sector.

Your Role

- Lead Structural Engineer on hydroelectric-type projects

- Structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric power plants, and related structures (concrete and steel)

- Rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric plants, and related structures

- Multidisciplinary coordination, assist and lead design meetings

- Produce preliminary and detailed engineering, and prepare and/or verify structural calculations and associated calculation notes

- Participate in and oversee the production of key technical deliverables, including design reports, structural drawings, and technical specifications for tender and construction

- Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate engineers

- Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure services meet expectations and keep them informed of project progress

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, structural profile (Master's degree is an asset)

- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in building and hydraulic structure design (hydroelectric and dam projects)

- Proficiency in French (spoken and written); bilingualism in English is an asset

- Availability for site visits and occasional travel
