Job Overview: BOMCAS Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and processing the accounts payable function for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with clients to collect and verify vendor invoices and payment requests.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and promptly.
- Verify invoice details, including product/service descriptions, quantities, and prices.
- Code and input invoices into accounting systems, ensuring proper general ledger coding.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and execute payments to vendors via checks, electronic transfers, or other methods.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and payments.
- Assist in preparing month-end and year-end accounts payable reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

Qualifications:

- Relevant diploma or certification in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an accounts payable specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.
- Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and colleagues.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple invoices and deadlines.
