ROLE OVERVIEW
Manage creative and production projects from concept creation to completion. The Associate Creative Director is responsible for developing and transforming concepts into creative solutions, managing creative teams, and ensuring client objectives are achieved.
To be successful as an Associate Creative Director, you should be able to develop creative concepts and strategies that are insightful, relevant, innovative, and effective. Ultimately, an excellent Associate Creative Director is a creative powerhouse with the ability to motivate and direct their team in the design and production of best-in-class solutions across different platforms with a hands-on approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supporting the Creative Director with the development of concepts, strategies, and client presentations.
2. Managing and supervising multiple projects and teams.
3. Ensuring resources are allocated according to project needs.
4. Directing the design and development of creative materials.
5. Ensuring brand identity and message consistency across channels.
6. Meeting client objectives, values, budgets, and deadlines.
7. Leading and participating in brainstorming sessions.
8. Keeping up with the latest trends, strategies, and technologies.
9. Evaluating creative team performance and guiding improvements.
10. Leading teams and ensuring strong and non-traditional creative output, while reporting into the Creative Director or Executive Creative Director.
11. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
12. Creating structured work that clearly articulates a campaign-able idea.
13. Processing information supplied by client/strategy/account services and translating it into effective creative work.
14. Proofreading creative work to ensure accuracy of information.
15. Presenting work and developing relationships of value and respect with the client.
16. Helping the agency develop a strong and positive relationship with the advertising community to help recruit top talent.
17. Staying up to date with new innovations and industry trends.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
1. 6-10 years of agency experience.
2. Strong Portfolio: Demonstrating originality, innovation, and multi-disciplinary thinking through your work.
3. International Recognition: Having created a world-class campaign that achieved international fame or won multiple international awards.
4. Leadership Skills: Demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to organize, motivate and improve the creative output of those around you.
5. Big Unconventional Idea Thinker: Going beyond executional or tactical tasks to come up with innovative campaign-able thoughts that work across all media.
6. Versatile: Being a strong art director with a design pedigree who can work in print and production, translating to content and social.
7. Strong ability to ideate against physical spaces and build concepts into tangible experiences and memorable moments.
8. Event experience is an asset.
9. Team Player: Being positive, collaborative, and a contagious spirit who works well with others.
10. Entrepreneurial: Taking initiative and proactively coming to the table with new ideas to push forward the creative work and develop the client relationship.
11. Production Savvy: Knowing how to work within budgetary constraints and having experience working with photographers, directors, and vendors.
12. Time Management: Managing your time effectively, hitting deadlines and being punctual for meetings while juggling multiple projects.
13. Cultural Player: Contributing to the culture of the agency and participating in activities that foster the agency spirit.
