Job Description:

Our client, a full-service accredited medical education company focuses on developing and implementing continuing medical education ("CME") programs for doctors, nurses and pharmacists ("Healthcare Practitioners") that improves their ability to provide optimal care to their patients. Healthcare Practitioners are required to earn CME credits each year to maintain their license and our client's programs allow them to satisfy these requirements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant is as follows but not limited to:

- Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and maintaining all supporting schedules
- Work with the Controller to record all accounts payable, revenue, and payroll transactions accurately
- Support onboarding and offboarding of company staff by updating payroll records as needed
- Ensure project accounting records are accurate and up-to-date at the end of every month
- Assist with P&L variance analysis and project reporting on a monthly basis
- Support yearly budgeting, quarterly reforecasting as well as ongoing cash flow reporting
- Assist with the monitoring of key business performance metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
- Assist with preparing documentation for external auditors
- Respond to inquiries from members of the senior management team and other internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Prepare other ad hoc analysis and reports as required from time to time

Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 2-5+ years of experience in an accounting role
- CPA designation or pursuing
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration would be preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting platform would be considered an asset
- Experience with full cycle accounting, including cash management, A/P, A/R, billing, payroll, and financial reporting
- Experience with automated A/P and expense management platforms
- Specifically, prior experience with SAP Concur would be considered an asset
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Team player with excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
