NCCS is a vibrant faith-based school nestled on the mountainside on the North Shore of Kootenay Lake in the beautiful small city of Nelson in the southern interior of B.C. With over 22 years of commitment to quality education, we are committed to providing exceptional student-centred Christian education in a safe and caring family environment. As a small interdenominational and multicultural school, our students benefit from low student-teacher ratios, unique and enriching options programs, and outdoor learning, with an emphasis on integrating Christian values into all aspects of our program.
Salary & Compensation:
- Salary Range: $83,000 – $87,000 per year
- Health Benefits Program: The program is cost-shared (70:30) between NCCS and the administrator, covering 70% Basic Dental and 70% Extended Health Care, with small amounts of Life and Critical Illness Insurance.
- RRSP Matching Program: For every dollar the employee puts towards an RRSP, NCCS will match 50 cents.
- Moving Costs: Negotiable
Qualifications:
- Valid BC teaching certificate
- A master’s degree in education or a related field is an asset
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience in a K-9 setting
- A proven track record of effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experienced teacher (minimum of 5 years) with training and understanding of the meaning and value of a faith-based learning environment
- Principal or Vice Principal experience is considered an asset
- Acceptance of the NCCS Statement of Faith, without reservation
