We areseekinga highly skilled and experienced Climate Specialist to join our team at Rubicon Organics a leading organic cannabis cultivation facility in Delta. As a Climate Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuringoptimalenvironmental conditions within our greenhouse facility to support the growth and cultivation of high-quality cannabis plants. Yourexpertisein managing climate control systems, particularly PRIVA systems, and HVAC integrations will be crucial inmaintainingprecise environmental parameters essential for high quality cannabis cultivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage andoptimizegreenhouse climate control and irrigation systems using PRIVA Office software tomaintainideal environmental conditions for cannabis cultivation. This includes monitoring and adjusting parameters such as temperature, humidity, air circulationsetup, lighting, CO2 levels, and soil moisturelevelsto ensure a balanced soil-plant-air continuum to promoteoptimalplant growth, health, and yield, while minimizing environmental stress.
- Collaborate with the Manager, CultivationSystemsto develop and implement climate control strategies tailored to the specific needs of different cannabis strains and growth stages.
- Assess, calibrate, andmaintaingreenhouse control system hardwareand software.
- Create a set of climate control white papers documenting the targets andmethodologyof cannabis production through the entire life cycle.
- Implement andmaintaina climate and greenhouse control alarm system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to climatecontrolorirrigationsystems to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Coordinate with the HVACcontractor and Maintenanceto integrate andoptimizeheating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in greenhouse climate control technology and best practices to continuously improve cultivation processes and outcomes.
- Maintainaccuraterecords ofenvironmental data, system maintenance, and operational procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Environmental Science, ora relatedfield.
- Proven experience working with PRIVA systems or similarstate-of-the-artprocess control management systems in greenhouse environments.
- In-depth understanding of HVAC systems and their integration with climate control systems.
- Experienceworkingin organic or greenhouse cultivation environments, preferably in the cannabis industry, will be highlyadvantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or off-hours as needed.
