Description We are seeking an experienced and highly respected maintenance leader to provide technical and professional oversight for a fleet of Bell 412 helicopters operating in support of Quebec’s provincial air ambulance program. This role is responsible for maintenance leadership, technical standards, reliability, and safe aircraft availability within a demanding, mission-critical environment.The successful candidate will act as the senior professional authority for maintenance personnel, ensuring consistent technical standards, disciplined execution of maintenance activities, and strong collaboration with flight operations and clinical partners.Join the Summit Helicopters team today by applying through the job postingKey ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support aircraft maintenance engineers and technical staff assigned to the Bell 412 fleetFoster a strong safety and quality culture grounded in professionalism, accountability, and attention to detailServe as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related operational mattersEnsure standardized maintenance practices across aircraft and operating basesPromote consistent application of approved maintenance procedures, documentation, and technical dataOversee aircraft reliability, defect trends, and proactive technical risk managementProvide leadership input into maintenance planning, scheduling, and aircraft availabilityCoordinate planned maintenance, inspections, and defect rectification to support operational readinessSupport effective parts, tooling, and logistics planning for a geographically dispersed operationParticipate in internal reviews, audits, and safety investigations related to maintenance activitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reliability, efficiency, and risk reductionEncourage reporting, learning, and transparent communication within the maintenance teamWork closely with flight operations, dispatch, training, and engineering support teamsProvide technical input into operational decisions, defect rectification, and aircraft utilizationSupport incident reviews and ensure maintenance lessons learned are communicated and embeddedQualifications & ExperienceExtensive hands-on and leadership experience maintaining medium twin-engine helicopters (Bell 412 strongly preferred)Strong background in EMS / air ambulance or other high-availability, mission-critical operationsDemonstrated experience leading maintenance teams or providing senior technical oversightSound technical judgement with the ability to balance operational demands and aircraft integrityStrong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced operational environmentAbility to work effectively in a bilingual (French/English) workplaceWhat We OfferSenior leadership role in a high-profile provincial air ambulance programStable, long-term operation with modern aircraft and professional technical teamsCollaborative environment with strong integration between maintenance and operationsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageAdditional InformationSummit Helicopters, a member of the Ledcor Group of Companies, delivers helicopter aviation solutions with one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the industry.
