This position will be responsible for Mechanical design and BIM 3D Modeling for Transportation Buildings projects. In addition, you will be required to assist the BIM Manager in leading the GTA M&E team towards 100% BIM adoption and extensive use of design automation for project delivery as part of a major corporate initiative.

What you can expect to do here:

1. 3D modeling of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems in general;
2. Assist designers with system design and modeling of duct work, hydronic heating and cooling piping;
3. Work individually or as part of the team to develop the drawings for submission;
4. 3D modeling of Plumbing including domestic water, Sanitary and Storm Systems;
5. 3D modeling of Natural Gas piping for buildings and site services;
6. Assist with Mechanical Designers and EIT's with system design;
7. Assist with corporate BIM standards, policies and procedures;
8. Assist with developing cutting edge tools to support BIM team in efficient workflows;
9. Coordinate with WSP's offshore design team;
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends related to BIM and design automation;
11. Attend Autodesk University (when necessary), representing WSP and joining your global colleagues to share best practices.

What you'll bring to WSP:

1. Superior knowledge of Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM Revit add-ins support tools;
2. Previous experience with supporting National or Regional BIM standards considered an asset;
3. Previous experience with design automation and production through technology considered an asset;
4. Passion for BIM technologies with the ability to promote these technologies and practices to increase user effectiveness;
5. Organized and methodical with a resourceful capacity for resolving challenges;
6. Knowledge of Duct Sizing and Pipe Sizing is considered an asset;
7. MicroStation knowledge and familiarity with TTC Standards are considered an asset;
8. Ability to script in Dynamo/Python programming is desirable.
