Job Title: Technical Infrastructure Project Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager / Team Lead with a strong background in IT infrastructure, including network and compute environments. This role is responsible for leading technical teams, managing complex infrastructure projects, and ensuring operational excellence across core IT services. This role is a contract role, 2-3 days a week in Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor the infrastructure team across network, compute, and related technology domains.
- Plan, execute, and deliver technical infrastructure projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality targets are met.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to support architecture, design, and troubleshooting activities.
- Drive effective change management practices aligned with ITIL standards.
- Facilitate conflict resolution within the team and across stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, risk, and control (GRC) frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure reliability, performance, and security.
- Prepare clear documentation, status updates, and communication for leadership and project stakeholders.

People & Project Management:

- Manage daily team operations, workload distribution, and performance expectations.
- Coach and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing effectively and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal partners and vendors to support project delivery and operational needs.

Communication Skills:

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide structured, concise project updates and executive-level reporting.
- Facilitate productive discussions and decision-making across teams and leadership groups.
- Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in all interactions.

Qualifications:

- Strong technical foundation in infrastructure networking and compute technologies.
- Proven experience as a team lead or technical project manager in IT infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and GRC requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management capabilities.
