Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager will lead and oversee all maintenance activities in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production equipment, utilities, and the plant infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while meeting strict food safety and regulatory standards. Prior experience in food manufacturing maintenance is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP, GMP), health & safety, and regulatory standards.
- Manage equipment calibration, repairs, and upgrades for packaging, processing, refrigeration, and utilities.
- Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with audits.
- Maintain spare parts inventory, control maintenance budgets, and optimize cost efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for equipment failures.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and up to date (work orders, SOPs, logs).
- Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility expansions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness across the maintenance team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Mandatory: Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance management experience in manufacturing or related industrial /manufacturing industry.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and contractors effectively.
- Technical degree/diploma in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
