About you

We’re looking for passionate, open-minded programmers — and you’re looking for technically-challenging software projects and a workplace full of intelligent, friendly people.

You have C/C++ programming skills, can debug effectively and use version control. You are familiar with Agile software development practices, such as TDD, BDD, pair programming, sprints, and user stories. It would be great if you also have some recent industry experience.

It would be beneficial if you had some specific technical expertise in areas such as embedded microcontrollers, low level code, performance optimisation, or AI.

To be part of Bluefruit, you should demonstrate that you are a keen problem solver, you enjoy working to a very high standard, communicate effectively, and want to work as part of a high-performing team.

Formal academic qualifications aren’t required, but your programming skills should be second to none.

Permanent and Fixed-Term Contracts are available. These roles are based at our Redruth, Cornwall office, subject to a three-month probationary period.

There are currently no remote or hybrid working opportunities available and we are only considering in-office positions. Bluefruit places value on working in person with colleagues and providing opportunities to absorb our culture.

Should you be invited for interview please ensure that you would be able to attend our Redruth office in person and work in Cornwall from the outset. Applicants invited for interview will be asked to verify their right to live and work permanently in the UK. We currently do not provide travel expenses or relocation costs for this role.
